if x+y=5 and 2x -3y =5 ?​

x+y−5=0 ....(1)

y−2=2x .....(2)

From (1)⇒y=5−x

From (2)⇒y−2=2x

⇒5−x−2=2x from (1)

⇒3−x=2x

⇒3=2x+x=3x

⇒3x=3

⇒x=

Substitute x=1 in (2) we get

y=2x+2=2×1+2=2+2=4

∴x=1,y=2
