If x+y=5 and x-y=4. Find the value of x​

x - y = 4 ---------- ( 2 )

By adding eqn 1 and 2 .

we get,

2x = 9

x = 9/2

Put x in eqn 1 .

9/2 + y = 5

y = 5 - 9/2

y = 10-9/2

y = 1/2 .
