Hlo \: frnd \: here \: is \: your \: answer.

Given => x - y = 5

, xy = 24

= x = 5 + y

= ( 5 + y ) y = 24

= 5y + y² - 24 = 0

= y² + 5y - 24 = 0

= y² + 8y - 3y - 24 = 0

= y ( y + 8 ) - 3 ( y + 8 ) = 0

= ( y - 3 ) ( y + 8 ) = 0

= ( y - 3 ) ( y + 5 + 3 ) = 0

= ( y - 3 ) ( x + 3 ) = 0

= ( y - 3 ) = 0 × ( x + 3 )

= y - 3 = 0

= y = 3

= x = 5 + y

= x = 5 + 3

= x = 8

= so ( x + y ) = 8 + 3 = 11
