x + y = 6....(1)

x - y = 2....(2)

★ Solving by the elimination method,

★ Adding eqn (1) & (2)

 = x + y = 6

 = x - y = 2.... ( y cancles )

 = 2x = 8

 = x = 4

★Now,

★For Y

★ Substituting x in eqn... (1)

 = x + y = 6

 = y = 6 - x

 = y = 6 - 4

 = y = 2

★ Your answer is :- x = 4 & y = 2
