If x+y= 6 and x-y = 4 find x square and y square

x+y = 6
x-y= 4

Adding both the equations,
2x=10
x= 5

Substituting x value, we get,
5+y = 6
So, y=1.

So x^2 + y^2 = 25 + 1 = 26.
