6

Answer:

We have to solve both the equation simultaneously.

x+y=6. Equation I

x-y=2. Equation II

By adding eq. I &II, we get

x+y=6

x-y=2

________

2x+0=8

Now 2x=8

Therefore x=8÷2

Therefore x=4

Now substitute x= 4 in any of the equation

Let's put x=4 in equation I, we get,

x+y=6

Therefore 4+y=6

Therefore y=6–4

Therefore y= 2

Answer x=4 & y=2 is the answer of the given equation.

Just check the proof

x+y=6

4+2=6

And

x-y=2

4–2=2
