Sol:-

Given Equations :-

x + y = 6 ( 1 )

x y = 4 ( 2 )

From eq 2

x = 4 + y ( 3 )

now sub eq 3 in eq 1

then

4 + y + y = 6

2y = 6 4

2y = 2

y = 1

now sub y = 1 in eq 3

then

x = 4 + 1

x = 5

then

+ = (5)² + (1)² = 25+1 = 26

Hence, the value of + is 26
