Step-by-step explanation:

xy = 35

x+y = 12 or

x^2+2xy+y^2 = 144 or

x^2+y^2 = 144–70 = 74

(x^2+y^2)^2 = x^4+2x^2*y^2+y^4, or

x^4+y^4 = 74^2–2*35^2

= 5476 - 2450

= 3026. Answer.

Answer:

As x+y =12 then

Y=12-x …Eq1

And xy=35 then

x(12-x)=35

12x-x^2=35

x^2–12x+35=0

x^2–7x-5x+35=0

x(x-7) -5(x-7) =0

(x-7)(x-5) =0

x= 7,5

Then y=12-x

When x=7 then y=5 and

when x=5 then y=7

So, When x=7 and y=5 then

x^4 + y^4 = 2401+ 625= 3026

And when x=7 and y=5 then also ans is 3026

I hope this may proof useful.
