Answer:

Given ,

✯ x + y = 7 ------ (1)

✯ x - y = 5 ------ (2)

So from (1)

x + y = 7 \\  \\  =  > x = 7 - y

Now putting back the value of x in (2) , we get :

x - y = 5 \\  \\  =  > 7 - y - y = 5 \\  \\  =  > 7 - 2y = 5 \\  \\  =  > - 2y = 5 - 7 \\  \\  =  >  - 2y =  - 2 \\  \\ ( -  \: and \:  -  \: cancelled) \\  \\  =  > y =  \frac{2}{2}  \\  \\  =  > y = 1

Now again putting back the value of y in (1)

x + y = 7 \\  \\  =  > x + 1 = 7 \\  \\  =  > x = 7 - 1 \\  \\  =  > x = 6

So correct option is (a) x = 6 and y = 1 .

hope this much helps uh ❣️

Answer:

a) X=6 Y=I

Step-by-step explanation:

x+y=7

x-y=5

let's add eqn

2x=12

x = 12/2

x = 6

put x = 6 in x+y = 7

x+y=7

6+ y = 7

y=7-6

Y=I
