2X = 10

X = 5

Subtitute X = 5 in 1ST EQUATION WE GET

5 + Y = 8

Y = 3.

SUBSTITUTE X AND Y IN 2X^2 + 2Y^2

2 {(5)}^{2}  + 2 {(3)}^{2}  = 2(25) + 2(9) \\  = 50 + 18 = 48
