xy = 15[given]

now,

(8) {}^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  +   {y}^{2}  + 2(15)

64 =  {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}   + 30 \\

 64 - 30 =  {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}

34=  {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}

 {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  = 34
