X² + Y²

SOLUTION :-

 {(x - y)}^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  - 2xy

So ,

 {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  =  {(x - y)}^{2}  + 2xy

 {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  =  {(8)}^{2}  + 2 \times 5

 {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  = 64 + 10 = 74
