and x + y + z = 10

x+y+z=10

x+y=9
Means

9+z=10
z=10-9
z=1

Now.
X+Y=9
Y=9-x

Y-X=8
9-x-x=8
9-2x=8
-2x=8-9
\cancel{-}2x=\cancel{-}1.
x=1/2

Then We know
x+y=9
1/2+y=9
y=9-1/2
y=18-1/2
y=17/2

We got
\boxed{\mathbf{x=\frac{1}{2}}}

\boxed{\mathbf{y=\frac{17}{2}}}

\boxed{\mathbf{z=1}}
