If (x,y) be on the line joining the 2 points (1,-3)(-4,2)p.t x+y+2=0

Given points
(1,-3)(-4,2)
And the mid point = (x,y)

Now by mid point formula
X= x1+x2/2
= 1-4/2
=-3/2
Y=y1+y2/2

=-3+2/2
=-1/2
Now x+y
= -3/2-1/2
=-4/2
= -2
Now x+y+2
= -2+2
=0 proved
