let

x= 2p

y=3p

(3x+2y)/2x+5y ) =( 3×2p+2×3p)/(2×2p+5×3p)

=(6p+6p)/(4p+15p)

=12p/19p

=12/19

=12:19

Given: x:y =2:3

To find: value of 2x-y/3x+2y

solution:

Let value of x = 2b

Value of y=3b

(we are letting this because we know ratio of x and y not actual value)

Now putting values of x and y in 2x-y/ 3x+2y:

= 2(2b)-3b / 3(2b)+2(3b)

= 4b- 3b / 6b+ 6b

= b/ 12b (b cancel out each other)

= 1/ 12

=1:12 ( we can also write it as 1:12)

Answer :Value of 2x-y/3x+2y is 1/12.
