x = 60/y

x + y = 17

60/y + y = 17

60+ y ² = 17y

y² - 17y + 60 = 0

y² - 5y - 12y + 60 = 0

y ( y - 5 ) - 12( y - 5 ) = 0

(y-5)(y-12) = 0

y = 12 or 5

If y= 12 , x = 5

If y = 5 , x = 12
