Solution:

If two ordered pairs are equal,the corresponding elements are equal

Implies,

x+y=2..........[1]

and,y-2x=3..........[2]

From [2],

y=3-2x

Putting y=3-2x in [1],

x+y=2

→x+3-2x=2

→-x=-1

x=1

Putting x=1 in [1],

x+y=2

→y=2-x

→y=2-1

y=1

Hence,(x,y)=(1,1)

Hey there!

Answer:

x = 0

y = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

x + y = 2

x = 2 - y  ..........(i)

and,

y - 2x = 3

y - 2(2 - y) = 3    (from eq. (i))

y - 3 + 2y = 3

3y - 3 = 3

3y = 3 + 3

y = 6 / 3

y = 2

Putting value of y in eq. (i):

x = 2 - y

x = 2 - 2

x = 0
