This question is somewhat wrong

It should be

(x-y,y+3)=(4,4)

So,

x-y=4

x=y+4___________(1)

y+3=4

y=4-3

y=1

put y=1 in equation 1

x=y+4

x=1+4

x=5

Ans:- x=5,. y=1
