 \frac{ {x}^{2} + 1 }{ {x}^{2} }  = 3 \\  \\  {x}^{2}  + 1 = 3 \times  {x}^{2}  \\  \\ 1 = 3 {x}^{2}  -  {x}^{2}  \\  \\ 1 = 2 {x}^{2}  \\   \\ {x}^{2}  =  \frac{1}{2}  \\  \\ x =  \sqrt{ \frac{1}{2} }

Answer:

given that,

x^2+1/x^2=3

solution :

 {x}^{2}  +  \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} }  = 3

⟹ {(x +  \frac{1}{x} )}^{2} - 2.x .\frac{1}{x}   = 3

⟹ {(x +  \frac{1}{x}) }^{2} - 2  = 3

⟹ {(x +  \frac{1}{x}) }^{2}  = 3 + 2

⟹{(x +  \frac{1}{x}) }^{2} = 5

⟹(x +  \frac{1}{x} ) =  \sqrt{5}

so, the value of x+1/x = √5
