x^2 + 1 / x ^2 = 4
= x ^ 2 + 1 / x ^2 + 2 = 4 + 2
= x ^ 2 + 1 / x ^2 + 2 × x × 1 / x = 6
= ( x + 1 / x ) ^2 = 6
X + 1 / X = √6 Ans.
= x ^ 2 + 1 / x ^2 + 2 = 4 + 2

(x + 1/x)² = x² + 1/x² + 2×x×1/x
⇒(x + 1/x)² = 4 + 2
⇒(x + 1/x)² = 6
⇒(x + 1/x) = √6
