(a²+b²)= a²+ b²- 2ab

so, here x²=a and b= 1/ x²

thus, x²+1/x²-2*x²*1/x²=7

x²+1/x²-2=7

so, x²+1/x²= 7+2

x²+1/x²=9

and here x² + 1/x² is in the square if we want to replace the square from the value X we will put root on 9

so it will be,

x+1/x=√9

and we know that 9 is the square of 3
