hey mate:-

if x2+1/x2=83 find the value of x-1/x

Solution :-

we know that ,

(a+b)²=a²+b²+2ab

so,

(x - 1/x )²= x² + (1/x )² -2

put value of x² + 1/x ² = 83,

we get ,

(x - 1/x )² = 83 -2

81

x - 1/x = √81

x - 1/x = ±9
