Let y=x−6⟹x=y+6

x2−16x−59=0⟹(y+6)2−16(y+6)−59=0

⟹y2+12y+36−16y−96−59=0

⟹y2−4y−119=0

⟹x−6=y=1±123−−−√=13.09054 OR −9.09054

P=(x−6)2+1(x−6)2=y2+1y2

Substituting both the values, P=171.368 OR 82.64995

Little clumsy answer!
