Solution:-

=> x² - 2x + 1 = 0

by mid term splitting.

=> x² - x - x + 1 = 0

=> x ( x - 1 ) - 1 ( x - 1 ) = 0

=> ( x - 1 ) ( x - 1 ) = 0

=> x - 1 = 0 or x - 1 = 0

we get x = 1 from both

=> x = 1

put x = 1 in below

=> x + x + x² + x²

=> 1 + 1 + 1² + 1²

=> 1 + 1 + 1 + 1

=> 4

Hence, x + x + x² + x² = 4

i hope it helps you.
