If x²-8x-15=0 and (x-2)(x-p)=0 and one root is common then 'p' is...

Answer:

x²-8x + 15=0

p \: is \: 1 \: root

So

 {p}^{2}  - 8p  +  15 = 0

(p - 3)(p - 5) = 0

p=3,5

(x-2)(x-p)=0

x=2,p

so p=3 or 5.

Answer:

this question is printing mistake instead of -15 it should be +15 . and it's answer should be 3 or 5. but in given equation there are no roots are common
