Step-by-step explanation:

if x2+ y2= 25 , xy = 12 , then x is

2y=25−x2

2y/2=25-x2/2

y=25-x2/2

\huge\bf\underline\red{Solution:-}

x² + y² = 25

xy =12

(x+y)²- 2xy = 25

(x+y)² - 24 = 25

(x+y)²= 25+24

(x+y)²=49

x+y = +7------ 1

x+y = -7 ------- 2

(x-y)²=x²+y²-2xy

(x-y)²=25-24

(x-y)= +1 ------3

(x-y) = -1 -----4

From eq 1 and 3

x+y=7

x-y=1

_____

2x=8

_____

x=4

Sub in eq 1

y=3

x=4,y=3 orx=3,y=4

and

x=-4,y=-3 orx=−3,y=-4(Sub in eq what we got
