If `x²+y²=29 & xy=2,then find the value of (i) x+y (ii)x-y

Answer:

( x + y) ^{2}   =  { x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  + 2xy \\

{(x + y)}^{2}  = 29 + 2 \times 2

 {(x + y)}^{2}  = 29 + 4

 {(x + y)}^{2}  = 33

x + y =  \sqrt{33}
