Question ;

if x² +y²= 29 and xy = 2

then find the value of x^4 + y^4

solution :

x {}^{4}  + y {}^{4}

 = (x {}^{2}  + y {}^{2} ) {}^{2}  - 2x  {}^{2} y {}^{2}

 = (x {}^{2}  + y {}^{2} ) {}^{2}  - 2(xy) {}^{2}

 = ( 29) {}^{2}  - 2(2) {}^{2}

 = 841 - 8

 = 833

find the value of

x {}^{4}  + y {}^{4}

if x² +y²= 29 and xy =2

Given : x² +y²= 29 and xy =2

x {}^{4}  + y {}^{4}

 = (x {}^{2}  + y {}^{2} ) {}^{2}  - 2x {}^{2} y {}^{2}

 = (x {}^{2}  + y {}^{2} ) {}^{2}  - 2(xy) {}^{2}

↪ put the values

x² +y²= 29 and xy =2

then ,

 = (29) {}^{2}  - 2(2) {}^{2}

 = (29) {}^{2}  - 8

 = 841 - 8

 = 833
