If x²+y²=29 and xy=2 find the value of x⁴+y⁴

 {x}^{2} + {y}^{2} = 29 \: \:, xy = 2 \\ \\ (x + y) {}^{2} = {x}^{2} + {y }^{2} + 2xy \\ \\ = 29 + 2 \times 2 \\ \\ = 29 + 4 = 33



( {x}^{2} + {y}^{2} ) {}^{2} = {x}^{4} + {y}^{4} + 2 {x}^{2} {y}^{2} \\ \\ = {29}^{2} + 2 \times 2 \times 2 \\ \\ = 841 + 8 \\ \\ = > 849
