Squaring both sides
X^2 +1/x^2 +(2*X*1/X) =y^2
X^2+1/x^2 +2 =y^2
X^2+1/x^2 =y^2 -2
ATQ
X^2+1/x^2=7 which according to us
Y^2 -2 .So, y^2-2=7
Y^2=9
Y=3
So X +1/X =3
