Solution -
x²-6x+k
x = 3+√2 is a root of this equation

x² - 6x + k = 0 {when x = 3+√2}
Putting value of x in the equation

(3+√2)² - 6(3+√2) + k = 0
3²+ (√2)² + 2(3)(√2) - 6(3) - 6(√2) + k = 0
9 + 4 + 6√2 - 18 - 6√2 + k = 0
13 - 18 + k = 0
-5 + k = 0
k = 5
