If y=2 and y=0 are the zeroes of the polynomial f(y)= 2 - 5+ay+b, find the values of a and b (2)​

Answer :-

a = 0

b = -5

Taking y = 2

f(2) = 5+ay+b

0 = 5 + 2a + b

-5 = 2a + b. ---------(1)

Taking y = 0

f(0) = 5 + ay + b

0 = 5 + 0a + b

-5 = b. ---------(2)

In equation (1)

-5 = 2a + b

-5 = 2a - 5

0 = 2a

0 = a
