y=2-x
x=2-y
LHS= 3(2-y) +6 (2-y)(2-x) +3(2-x) - 8
= 6 - 3y + 6 (2-y)(2-(2-y)) + 3(2-(2-y)) - 8
= 6 - 3y + 6(2-y)(y) + 3(y) - 8
= 6 - 3y + 6(2y - y²) + 3y - 8
= 6 - 3y + 12y - 6y² + 3y - 8
= -2 + 12y -6y²
x=2-y
LHS= 3(2-y) +6 (2-y)(2-x) +3(2-x) - 8
= 6 - 3y + 6 (2-y)(2-(2-y)) + 3(2-(2-y)) - 8
= 6 - 3y + 6(2-y)(y) + 3(y) - 8
= 6 - 3y + 6(2y - y²) + 3y - 8
= 6 - 3y + 12y - 6y² + 3y - 8
= -2 + 12y -6y²
