SOLUTION

GIVEN

y = 2x

TO DETERMINE

The value of

\displaystyle  \sf{\int\limits_{0}^{1} y\, dx }

EVALUATION

Here it is given that

y = 2x

Thus we get

\displaystyle  \sf{\int\limits_{0}^{1} y\, dx }

\displaystyle  \sf{ = \int\limits_{0}^{1} 2x\, dx }

 \displaystyle \sf{ =  2.\frac{ {x}^{2} }{2}  \bigg|_ 0^1 }

 \displaystyle \sf{ =   {x}^{2} \bigg|_ 0^1 }

 \displaystyle \sf{ =   {1}^{2}  -  {0}^{2} }

 \displaystyle \sf{ =  1}
