As per the data given in the question,

We have to determine the value of equation (y+8) when the value of y is equal to -3.

For finding the value of the given expression,

We will put the value of "y" in the given expression,

We will get it as,

(y+8) = (-3+8)\\=>5

Hence, value of the equation (y+8) when the value of y is equal to -3 will be 5.

To find : value of y + 8

Given : y = -3

Solution :

  • To find the value of y + 8, we substitute  given value of y in the expression y + 8 .
  • Therefore , we get  y + 8 = -3+ 8 \\

                                                  = 5   [ as\  we\  know ,(-) + (+) = - ]

        sign of bigger number is given .

Hence , value of y + 8 is 5.
