t= 5

Explanation:

y = 50t-5t²

=> v = dy/dt = 50-10t

=> a = dv/dt = -10m/s²

initial velocity u = 50-10×0 = 50m/s

y is max when v= 0

=> v = u+at

=> 0 = 50-10×t

=> t = 50/10 = 5

=> at t= 5 , y is maximum
