we know that the complementary angles is equal to 90°

than,

 \textit{y + y +20 = 90°}

 \textit{2y +20 = 90°}

 \textit{2y = 90°- 20°}

 \textit{y = 70°/2}

 \textit{y =35°}

 \textit{first angle( y)= 35°}

 \textit{and, second (y+20)=35°+20°=55°}
