Solution :

We know that,

d/dx (xⁿ) = n xⁿ⁻¹

Now, y = x³ [ given ]

Differentiating both sides w.r. to x, we get

dy/dx = 3 x³⁻¹

or, dy/dx = 3 x²

Again, differentiating both sides w.r. to x, we get

d²y/dx² = 3 * 2 x²⁻¹

d²y/dx² = 6x
