Step-by-step explanation:

y = 5x

so,

(5x+1)/(x+14)=3/1

5x+1=3x+42

2x=41

x=20.5

so y= 5x20.5

y=102.5

Answer:difference between x and y

is 82

Step-by-step explanation:

according to question

5x=y

x:y=1:5

now

x+14/y+1=1/3 (according to question)

3x+42=y+1

put y=5x

3x+42=5x+1

2x=41

x=20.5 then y=5x=102.5

x~y=20.5~102.5

=82
