If y is directly proportional to 1/x and x =2 when y= 20, what is the value of x when y = 1.25?
Plzz give me the answer by attaching the solution pic.

Answer:

x = 32

Step-by-step explanation:

We have,

y is directly proportional to 1/x.

So, y = k * 1/x[where k is the constant of proportionality]   --- (1)

When y = 20, then x = 2.

So,

20 = k * 1/2

⇒ k = 40

Put k = 40 in (1), we get

y = 40/x

Put y = 1.25 in (2), we get

⇒ 1.25 = (40/x)

⇒ x = 32

Therefore,

Value of x = 32

Hope it helps!
