When the value of x is equal to 3 and the y is equal to 5,

3x^2 – 2y

=> 3*3^2 - 2*5

=> 3*9 - 10 = 17

And 2x^2– 3y

=> 2*3^2 - 3*5

=> 2* 9 - 15 = 3

This gives 3x^2 – 2y exceeding 2x^2– 3y by 17 - 3 = 14
