Given : y represents acceleration

x represent velocity gradient,

To Find : dimensions of dy/dx

Solution:

Acceleration is rate of change of velocity

Velocity is rate of change of Displacement

Hence Dimensions of Acceleration =  (L/T)/T  =  LT⁻²

Dimensions of y = LT⁻²

velocity gradient is   rate of change in velocity per unit of distance.

Dimensions of velocity gradient = (L/T)/L  = T⁻¹

Dimensions of  x =  T⁻¹

dimensions of dy/dx  = Dimension of y/x

= LT⁻² / T⁻¹

= LT⁻¹

dimensions of dy/dx  =  M⁰L¹T⁻¹
