Given : y = sin 2θ

To Find :  \int\limits^ \frac{\pi}{2} _0 {y} \, d\theta

Solution:

\int\limits^ \frac{\pi}{2} _0 {y} \, d\theta

y = sin 2θ

=\int\limits^ \frac{\pi}{2} _0 {\sin 2\theta} \, d\theta

= \left \frac{-\cos 2\theta}{2}  \right | ^ \frac{\pi}{2} _0

= (-1/2)  (cos π - cos 0)

= (-1/2) (-1 - 1)

= (-1/2)(-2)

= 1

\int\limits^ \frac{\pi}{2} _0 {y} \, d\theta  = 1
