 =  =  =  =  =  >

y = tanx

 \frac{dy}{dx}  = 1 .......(1)

Now,

y = tan \: x

 \frac{dy}{dx}  =  \frac{d}{dx} (tanx)

 \frac{dy}{dx}  =  { \sec }^{2} x......(2)

from. (1) and (2)

 =  >  {sec}^{2}x = 1

 \sec(x)  =  \sqrt{1}

 \sec(x)  = 1

x =  {0}^{0}

\boxed{\textbf{\large{x = 0 degree }}}

vidisha30: how can u say it's 0
Anonymous: so what is the answer?
vidisha30: the answer is 0...
vidisha30: but my question is...how can it turn into 0
vidisha30: it is sin x =1 right
Anonymous: but it is sec
vidisha30: umm...yeah...that is what I meant
vidisha30: how can secant x equals one become 0?

Answer:

x = π

Step-by-step explanation:

d/dx (tanx) = sec^2x

sec^2x = 1

sec^2x - 1 = 0

(secx-1)(secx+1) =0

secx = 1 or -1

cosx = 1 or -1

x = nπ

X = π
