2y -3 = 3(y +1) -8

2y -3 = 3x +1/2 +1 -8

2y -3x = 3 +1/2 +1 -8

2y -3x = 4 +1/2 -8

2y -3x = 4.5 -8

2y -3x = -3.5

For finding the value of x

-3x = -3.5

3x = 3.5

x = 3.5 -3

x = 0.5
