We have,

(y+z)=12
(y+z)^2=(12)^2 (squaring both sides)
y^2+z^2+2yz=144
y^2+z^2+2(30)=144
y^2+z^2+60=144
y^2+z^2=144-60
y^2+z^2=84 Ans.

Hey! ! !

Solution :-

☆ Given :-

● y+ z = 12

● y*z=30

:- ( y + z )^2 = y^2 + z^2 + 2(yz)

=> y^2 + z^2 = ( y + z )^2 - 2(yz)

=> y^2 + z^2 = (12)^2 - 2 (30)

=> y^2 + z^2 = 144 - 60

=> y^2 + z^2 = 84
