Answer:

55 Km

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets Take LCM  of both 11 and 12  .

LCM=132 (distance) (Assumption).

As My speed is 11 km/hr ,time taken would be= 132/11= 12hr

My friend Speed is 12km/hr then time taken would be =132/12 =11hr.

So difference in time = 1 hour(60 minutes).

For 132 Km there is difference of 60 minutes in time between me and my friend.

So, If our difference is 25 minutes then distance=

60 (1 hour)=132

25 (given)=x(required distance)

x=132*25/60

x=55 Km

Here is our answer !!!

I cover 55 km in 5 hrs.

My friend covers in 4.58 hrs which is 4 hrs 35 minutes !!

The total distance = 55 km

It is given in the question that my speed is = 11km/hr

Prime factorisation of 11 = 11 ( as 11 itself is a prime number)

Speed of my friend is = 12 km/hr

Prime factorisation of 12 = 2×2×3

Now LCM of 11 and 12 = 11×2×2×3 = 132

Let us assume 132 to be the traveled distance

My given speed = 11 km/hr

time taken to cover 132km =\frac{132}{11}   = 12hr

Friend's given Speed = 12km/hr

time taken to cover 132km  =\frac{132}{12}  = 11hr.

So the difference in time taken to cover 132km  = 1 hour =60 minutes.

For 132 Km there is a difference of 60 minutes in time between me and my friend.

So, If our difference is 25 minutes then distance=

60 mins =132km

For 1 mins distance covered = \frac{132}{60}

For 25 mins= \frac{132}{60\\}× 25 = 55km

 I cover 55 km in 5 hrs.

and my friend covers in 4.58 hrs which is 4 hrs 35 minutes
