LHS.= x+2/3 - x-3/4

       = 2/3 - 3/4

       = 8/12 - 9/12

       = -1/12

RHS.= x + 1/5 - 1

       = x - 4/5

  LHS.= RHS.

  -1/12 = x - 4/5

   -1*5 = 12(5x-4)

      -5 = 60x - 48

-5+48 = 60x

   60x = 43

        x = 43/60

        x = 0.72

2.) Let the original no. be x

    According to the statement:

   3x/4 = x-20

      3x = 4(x-20)

      3x = 4x-80

 4x-3x = 80

         x = 80

Therefore, the original no. is 80

3.) Let the daughter's age be x.

Then mother's age = 7x

TWO YEARS AGO:

Daughter's age = x - 2

Mother's age = 7x - 2

ACCORDING TO QUESTION:

7x - 2 = 13 (x - 2)

7x - 2 = 13x - 26

    6x = 24

      x = 4 years

HENCE THE PRESENT AGE OF DAUGHTER IS 4 YEARS AND MOTHER'S AGE = 7*4 = 28 YEARS
