➡TYPES OF NETWORK

↔LAN or Local Area Network-- It connects two or more than two computers over very short distances . That is why it is called a oval area network . It is basically used in workplaces like school's , offices and other short distances . The range of this network is very less . It is more efficient only for the local areas and it can't find use in connecting the computers over large distances . It involves a good connection and is used readily for connecting computers basically in the offices .

↔MAN or Metropolitan Area Network -- It connects the computer over a larger distance , as its name only suggests , it is used for connecting computers in large metropolitan cities . It is slowly gaining importance due to its security and wide range of application it has for the users .

↔WAN or Wide Area Network--it is used for connecting computers over very large distances . It covers a wide range of network. It is made into use by telecommunications and satellite systems . The best example for this network is the International Network or Internet.
