the work done by a force displacing a body is the dot product of the force an displacement when the force and displacement are perpendicular to each other the work done by the body is 0
in a circular motion after 1 revolution both the initial and final positions of the object are same the displacement is 0 which results in the work done is 0
an acceleration due to gravity will no longer be in effect so there will be no centripetal force making it go tangentially in a straight path without any acceleration and with a constant velocity
